Biodiversity Hotspots in Fontainebleau

Context /Background : Presentation of the main ecological issues of the massif and the management measures implemented to preserve the biodiversity of this exceptional forest.

From Franchard, the visit will begin for a discovery of free evolution protected area of « Chêne brûlé », a protected area resulting from one of the first protection status in the world, the artistic protected area (1861). The opportunity to discover an old oak and beech forest,  and a perched pond,  typical of the forest of Fontainebleau. We will then join the Macherin plain to browse the lawns and moors of this managed protected area.
